Car Park Resurfacing Appeal MVH Needs Your Help! Updated: 6th March
Mayford Village Hall is fundraising to resurface the remaining part of the car park which was heavily pot-holed and not wheelchair- friendly but now allows easier & safer access to events at MVH and the Bowls Club. With generous suport from Councillors Ayesha Azad & Will Forster at Woking Borough & Surrey County Councils through the Members’ Community Allocation Fund ( @JCWoking ), Mayford Hall Bowls Club & WH Smith, we have raised £20,150. Thank You to others who have so generously donated in response to the launch of our appeal. We still need to raise a further a further £6,850 to replenish the reserves used to allow the works to be completed within the current financial year in order to make use of a maximum £15,000 Matching Grant offer from Woking Borough Council. Mayford Village Hall
Mayford Village Hall is managed by a Trustee Group of unpaid volunteers and is situated between the Surrey towns of Guildford and Woking. The hall is available for public hire at times when it is not being used by local clubs, societies and organisations.
MVH is temporarily closed for private events or parties and not taking any bookings until further notice. Some of our regular group hirers are restarting their meetings after suitable Risk Assessments are conducted & precautions agreed in line with current government guidelines for the use of community buildings.Details of running activities are listed on the What’s On page.
